Break the Ice:
- Is there a difference between discerning and judging? Explain your answer.
Transition:
To judge essentially means “to decide”, let’s look more into this study for clarity.
Bring the Word:
- Read Matthew 7:1-2
This passage talks about having “a standard”, to “judge, or decide”
Truth is just because your confident, doesn’t mean you are right!
Read Matthew 26:6-10
How were the disciples deciding about this incident with Jesus? What was their standard?
in verse 8 – How could the disciples believe this act was wasteful, where Jesus saw it as noble?
