3 Reminders for the Setup/Tear Down Teams

Being part of a church plant is an exciting, faith-filled journey. There are many joys when you see God do the impossible and people do the incredible.

Sure, being a portable church has it challenges, but it also has many positives. One of the positives is being able to serve together every week in set up an tear down.

Paul said, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord.” Colossians 3:23a

We don’t setup every Sunday for the passionate worshiper, the struggling family, or the lonely individual who visit our church. We set up every Sunday for Jesus first! We will never effectively be able to others if we first aren’t first serving Jesus.

In order to keep our positive prospective, there are 3 things to remember when serving on Setup/Tear Down Team.

  1. We’re better together!

Don’t do it alone! Ever.

If you need help, ask for it from those around you. It makes it more fun and teaches others your area of setup or tear down. Even if you don’t need help, invite someone to serve alongside you.

  1. Get to know someone!

I have found that setup and tear down has been a great way to get to know our church family! This has been a huge blessing to me personally and I know it will be the same for you.

  1. Have Fun!

We want Sundays to be fun at AGTX! Setup and Tear Down doesn’t have to be a drudge. Have fun with it! Smile, sing, and laugh. Attitude is everything when you serve on this team.

Thank you for serving on the Setup/Tear Down Team! What you do matters!
